The moulin

The spacious rooms, which all have their own bath and/or shower, are stylishly furnished, and are all facing the beautiful gardens. There is an attractive salon with a fireplace.

After a sumptuous breakfast in the lovely kitchen, or in the salon, or outside when the weather is nice, you can go out and explore the beautiful surroundings where both nature and culture are abundant. You can also just laze at one of the many comfortable spots on the estate or play a game of tennis on our own tennis court.

We love cooking: for many years we ran a restaurant in the Centre of Amsterdam. In Burgundy we found a mill on a beautiful spot that we would love to share with others. Space, restfulness, and enjoying good food is our motto. Therefore, in the evening you can enjoy a superb meal accompanied with beautiful wines. Afterwards, you can sit down in front of the fireplace and go over the day.

There are plenty of possibilities for special occasions such as family parties, business meetings and seminars. We would gladly offer you the possibility of using the complete estate. Moreover, we have a gîte for rent in the Moulin. This gîte is fully equipped and can house four people.

Within walking distance of the Moulin de la Guesne you find the village of St Benin d'Azy. There you can find a general practitioner, a pharmacy, a bakery, a restaurant, a supermarket, a cash dispenser, and a petrol station.

There are set walking tours, some of which pass by the Moulin. Walking maps are available.

We also have bicycles available, however, bringing your own bicycle with gears maybe slightly more comfortable, as the surroundings are slightly hilly.

It might be a good idea to bring your own tennis racket, as for sure your own racket is more comfy to play with than a borrowed racket.

Feel free to bring your pet, but do keep it on a leash and preferably outside. We do have a large kennel with a basket.

Smoking always is a tricky problem. Eventually we decided that smoking inside the buildings is not allowed. However, the view is so marvellous that it is a pleasure to go out and enjoy a cigarette, cigar or pipe outside.

There is ample parking space in our private car park.
